ALOES is a newly formed audiovisual project by Alex van Giersbergen and Marloes van Son. Alex is a new media artist, who uses programming to create computer- and electronic-based works. Marloes is an experimental instrument builder, sound artist and composer. With ALOES they combine efforts to present atmospheric soundscapes with melodic elements which interact with particle based visuals.
